Finn is a talented civil litigation attorney who specializes in all types of personal injury matters, including wrongful deaths, nursing home negligence, medical malpractice, daycare injuries, motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and falls, and general negligence.

Prior to founding Gavagan Law, LLC, he worked as an attorney at a boutique Boston personal injury law firm for nearly 9 years, representing hundreds of injured individuals.  During that time, he was successful both in and out of the court room, resolving cases through litigation, mediation, and negotiations. 

Finn was selected to the Massachusetts Super Lawyers Rising Stars List for 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Only 2.5% of lawyers in Massachusetts receive this distinction. Finn has a proven track record of securing substantial settlements and judgments for his clients across Massachusetts. His standout achievements include winning a $250,000 settlement in a motorcycle accident case, successfully negotiating a $195,000 settlement for a slip and fall on ice, and obtaining a $135,000 settlement in an auto accident case. Finn has also secured significant settlements in other areas of personal injury, including a $100,000 dog bite settlement and a $450,000 settlement for a construction site accident. His experience extends to cases of nursing home negligence and wrongful death, where he secured a $200,000 settlement. Notably, Finn achieved a $125,000 judgment in a trip and fall accident in 2018. Each of these settlements and judgments attest to his dedication, skill, and tireless advocacy for those who have been injured.

Attorney Finn Gavagan had the opportunity to attend the Building Trial Skills Program through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) in Boston from December 9-13, 2024, honing trial skills through intensive training and expert coaching. This program focused on delivering persuasive arguments, conducting cross-examinations, and effectively presenting evidence—ensuring that clients receive exceptional representation in court and during negotiations.

Finn graduated from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. Prior to law school, he was selected to serve as an AmeriCorps Legal Assistant at the New Center for Legal Advocacy, Inc., (now South Coastal Counties Legal Services) in New Bedford, MA.
